Up until now there has not been a national registry in the United States for mesh injuries. Not for pelvic mesh, hernia mesh, urogyn mesh . . . not for ANY kind of polypropylene mesh!
That is why I created this registry in order to bring our stories to light, so that we can create advocacy and awareness. No one should have to suffer in silence, and no one should have to die from a medical device that was supposed to help.
Submit Your Mesh Injury StoryYou do not have to live in the U.S. to register your mesh injury story.
My name is Kelly, and I am a transvaginal mesh survivor. I created this platform to give survivors a voice — because for too long, we have been dismissed, ignored, and left to suffer in silence.
There are thousands of us living with the devastating consequences from mesh complications. We suffer immense pain, prolonged agony, and life-altering damage. We have had our lives stolen — not by illness, but by a medical device that was supposed to help.
Mesh complications invade every aspect of our lives. Finances are drained. Relationships are strained and lost. The pain is relentless. Every day is spent managing damage that should have never happened. It is a nightmare that does not end!
The FDA has received over 100,000 reports of mesh-related complications (includes all types of mesh) — yet meaningful action to protect citizens has not been taken. We are living proof of the consequences of that inaction. (Source — U.S. Food & Drug Administration: FDA MAUDE Database)
